"They Don't Do Random"

In my favorite action movie(s), Bourne, the character Nicky says about Jason Bourne: "They don't do random. They don't make mistakes."

What if that is true also of Nitish Kumar? For the guy who was the top performing Chief Minister across India, maybe he does not do random either. There are conscious decisions you make. And there are subconscious decisions you make.

When people would ask him if he would become Prime Minister he would say, "मैं जिस बैकग्राउंड से आया हुँ वहाँ से तो ये चीफ मिनिस्टर का कुर्सी भी बहुत बड़ा है। इसकी कभी उम्मीद नहीं की थी।"

Look at the facts.

He was the first major politician across India to have called Modi a future Prime Minister. That is a matter of public record. He was on stage. Modi was sitting to his left.
His walking away from the BJP alliance made Modi dig harder. If Nitish had not walked away, chances are the BJP would neither have sought nor got a majority on its own.

अगर बिहार में बीजेपी हार जाती है तो इसका मतलब ये नहीं होगा कि मोदी पर से बिहार के लोगों का विश्वास उठ गया है। वो तो २०१९ में पता चलेगा। Bihari voters are smart. They know the difference between a central government and a state government. They are not like the media people who keep making it sound like this 2015 election in Bihar is a referendum on Modi.

जो मोदी को मैंडेट मिला है वो लोगों ने पाँच साल के लिए दिया हुवा है। २०१९ तक he is good.

१५% और १०% में फर्क

१०% growth rate पर ७ साल में doubling होती है, १५% growth rate पर ५ साल में। बहुत फर्क पड़ता है। Compete भी करिए और cooperate भी करिए। मोदी कहते हैं, "दल से बड़ा देश।" तो उसके जवाब में "दाल में कुछ काला है" मत कहिए। उस बात पर मनन करिए। जनता द्वारा चुने प्रधान मंत्री की बात पर मनन करना लोकतान्त्रिक संस्कृति का तकाजा है। मोदी एक व्यक्ति नहीं एक संस्था है। जब तक देश में से गरीबी ख़त्म न हो जाए तब तक Opposition को thoughtful opposition का रोल अदा करना चाहिए। चीन ने तो किया गरीबी ख़त्म। आप के सामने किया। कैसे किया? Per capita income के हिसाब से १९९० में भारत चीन से आगे था। अब देखो। जब गरीबी ख़त्म हो जाए तब फिर knee jerk opposition का मौका मिलेगा।

१५% और १०% में फर्क बहुत है। १०% तो चीन ने किया। उसको मात करो। संभव है। A 15% growth rate for 30 years: that should be the goal.

६४ ट्रिलियन चाहिए कि २५६ ट्रिलियन? ----- per capita income का हिसाब करो, Gross Domestic Product का नहीं। भारत का Gross Population भी तो बहुत है।

256 Trillion/ 2 Billion = $128,000

तो २०५० में एक भारतीय का वार्षिक आमदनी १२८,००० डॉलर हो जाये, वो नार्मल बात है। सालाना १२८,००० डॉलर कमाने वाले लोग मैं रोज मिलता हुँ। कौन सी बड़ी बात है?

लेकिन हवा और पानी गन्दा कर के वहां नहीं पहुंचना। शरीर के लिए सबसे जरुरी हवा, तब पानी, तब भोजन तब और कुछ। गन्दा हवा और पानी वाला विकास तो विकास ही नहीं है।
