India, Nowhere Close To An "Emergency"

Advani's remarks are an unfortunate attempt to become relevant again. Politicians in Nepal similarly refuse to get the work done on federalism and the constitution because, as soon as the work is done, they are going to become irrelevant. Who in their right mind wants to become irrelevant?

People like Laloo and Mulayam rode the Mandal wave. Advani rode the Kamandal wave. Ab to Development Wave chal raha hai. Developent Wave ne Mandal aur Kamandal dono ko nigal liya hai. Modi's background makes him the ultimate Mandal, and his clear majority win makes him the ultimate Kamandal as well.

Adavani "Hindu rate of growth" jamane ke log hain. 2% aur 3% se kam chala lete the us samay mein log. When people like Nitish idolize him at a personal level, that is fine. But when they idolize him politically, main to confuse ho jata hoon.

The BJP is a big tent. Us mein kism kism ke log hain. Kuchh log ultra conservative hain, kuchh Islamophobic log bhi hain, kuchh sexist log hain, actually dher sare sexist log hain, to tarah tarah ke log hain.

Lekin Advani aur Modi mein to Modi jyada liberal dikhte hain. Advani ne Ram Mandir ke naam par desh mein utna uthal puthal machaya tha. Bhul gaye?

Advani senior log hain. Aadar milni chahiye. There is no doubt about that. Shayad usi aadar bhav mein kami kamjori ho gayi hogi, to unhone hostile interview de dala. Ghabrane ki baat nahin hai. India is a democracy. Log to bolenge hi.

Laloo aur Advani dono ek jagah kisi mudde par aa jayenge, ye mujhe nahin maloom. Lekin aa gaye, emergency ke masale par. To wo po purani baat hai.

India mein abhi emergency ki koi sambhavana nahin, koi gunjayas nahin. Waise Advaniji ne news mein aane ke liye kah diya.

The Donald Is Plenty Smart

Never for one second think Donald Trump is stupid. He did not become a billionaire without doing some strategic thinking on the side. He is smart, that is precisely why he picked the party of stupid. He knows it will be easier to shine.

Only a few years back The Donald hosted Gaddafi on his property, but we are not going to talk about that. I would not want to hurt him politically.

All that Climate Change denying the Republicans did over the years, all that is now going to come to haunt them.

And to think The Donald used to be an Independent, then he realized all the fun that is to be had is in the Republican Party. Just you watch!

I don't know how The Donald feels about the Democrats in the race, but I happen to think they are too wonky! Nerds! Too many words. Too many books. Not enough pictures.

I think the 2016 race is going to be memorable, and The Trump is one of the reasons why. His out of the box hair is, quite literally, symbolic of his out of the box thinking. Republicans in Alabama don't know what just hit them.

No one is going to complain about there being too many debates. The refrain might be, not enough debates! There is sooooo much to talk about. The country's future is at stake, for Chrissake!

Donald Trump is a serious dude who just happens to have a sense of humor. Some people mistake his sense of humor and don't take him seriously.

Memo to Dems: The Donald is a gift that keeps giving.

Remember when Condoleezza Rice got confused between Iraq and Iran on national television? To her credit (god bless her soul), she corrected herself before the sentence was over. But there are about 50 million Republicans who never did. And these are all people with voting rights. I worry for democracy in America.

Donald Trump entering the race is like the fox has entered the hen house. There was already a dearth of ideas among Republican candidates. Now this dude is going to suck up the remaining little oxygen. It is not possible to hold an intelligent policy conversation with this guy. Did you notice what he said about Mexicans? He sounds like Hillary 2016's Hispanic vote consolidation exercise, Hillary's own internal Hispanic voter outreach program.

This quote is going to be the high point of his run. And he thinks he is beating the Chinese "all the time" because "I just sold an apartment to somebody from China." Is there something about the apartment the buyer needed to know? I defend the Donald's right to free speech. What would America be without a few microphones?

For every nonsensical remark you think Trump is making, there are about a million people out there who are lapping it up like it were gospel truth. Do not take this guy for granted. I am saying that to the Republicans in the race.
